The DIGIVU Combined Blog is a combination of all the blogs I have developed and plan to develop in the next while. My different blogs cover a range of topics focusing initially on Food Processing but now also covering food/agribusiness, development, green topics, consumerism and “interesting” items. That list of disparate issues are actually pretty much linked by the type of posts I make.
You can either follow all topics or use the “Focus on a Topic” menu in the lefthand column to avoid areas you may want to actively avoid.
Links To Other Information
I tend to source much more information that I can possibly convert into posts on the blog so have started a process where this news is published quickly to Posterous with a link to the story and a short headline from me. This information is then collected into a list of headlines which you can scan at the bottom of the lefthand column or on the News link at the top of the page and follow should you want.
Following The Blog Without Logging In Continually
In the land of time pressure and connectivity constraints you don’t want to go online frequently to see if there is anything that interests you – it is of course useful and enjoyable to read through the site periodically. There are a few ways to get the information you need:
RSS feeds allow you to get notification of whatever is published on the Blog in your News Reader (eg Google Reader, Net News Wire) and only go through to posts that you need to study. Some RSS feeds can be set to notify you as the notification about an item comes through.
I have a number of Twitter accounts where I put out notifications of what I am up to and some of what has been posted.
I have started a Facebook page – at this stage to see how it can be used more than anything.
I have also started a Google + account which looks very interesting, you can link to this from the DIGIVU Combined Blogs
