A new factory in Uganda promises to help provide small farmers with seeds for more than 55 crops, including vegetables as well as groundnuts, soybeans, maize, rice and other grains. The new privately owned plant comes as the government is encouraging business to play a larger role in the production, processing and marketing of seeds and fertilizers.
